Proofreading

Before you publish or submit your writing I will carry out a detailed proofread to pick up spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors, common usage errors, inconsistencies and language mistakes. I will check the formatting and that a particular style is applied throughout, and ensure that referencing systems are followed exactly.

Copyediting

If you need extra help communicating your ideas, if for example English is not your first language, I can work to improve the readability and clarity of your writing. If you are writing for a specialist journal or perhaps communicating complex ideas in an understandable way to a general audience, I can help you polish the content as well as the presentation of your written work.

Transcription

I also provide transcription services. Perhaps you have audio files and require a word for word transcription, or perhaps you require cleaned-up text, with filler words (‘ums’ and ‘ahs’) and errors removed. Get in touch and we can discuss your project further.

My areas of interest

I have provided my services to authors working across many fields, and I do not need to be familiar with your subject area in order to provide an excellent standard of work. However I can bring added knowledge and expertise to work that involves archaeology, human anatomy (especially skeletal or dental anatomy), prehistory, life sciences, clinical trials and medical subjects for a general audience.
